1 oz. Tequila
1 oz. Cointreau
Fresh Lime Juice
It is important for tequila to have salt and this could be done with added visual presentation value given to it by having the cocktail glass rimmed with salt. This can be achieved by sliding a lime wedge around the lip of the glass. This gives the lip moisture and makes salt crystals adhere to it. Once the lip has been moistened, dip the overall lip of your cocktail glass on a saucer with kosher salt. This gives the glass its salt rimming.
Once your glass has been prepared, it’s now time to make the cocktail drink itself. Get a shaker and put lots of ice inside it. Place in measured amounts of all your liquids – tequila, Cointreau, and lime juice. Place the lid of your shaker and shake the contents fast and vigorously.
